Affirming the heart. TOKINOHA×UTSUWA collaboration tea bowl "Eikyō"
Today we would like to introduce "Eikyō," one of the tea bowls created in collaboration between TOKINOHA and UTSUWA.
Tea bowls come in a variety of shapes, but designs with chipped edges are quite rare.
It may look a little unusual, but the drinking spout remains intact, so you can use it with confidence.
At first glance, the design may seem unusual, but the deep indigo color and TOKINOHA's reliable craftsmanship allow it to blend naturally into the surrounding space.
Its beauty will be fully displayed whether placed in a Japanese-style room or a Western-style room.
The vibrant green of the matcha and the indigo of the tea bowl create a scene reminiscent of a tranquil Japanese garden.
Although tea bowls may seem formal, there is no need to be so concerned about the formality. There are many ways to enjoy matcha.
You can also enjoy matcha with chocolate or muffins. It doesn't have to be on tatami mats.
Take time out of your daily life to take a breather and treat yourself.
In fact, this tea bowl did not have a name until just before it went on sale.
We used to call them "Crackling" or "Jagged," but we felt that was too cruel, so we decided to give them names.
The name is "Enkyo," which means the waxing and waning of the moon.
The moon waxes and wanes, just like our hearts.
Unhappiness will eventually end, but happiness won't last forever. And that's okay.
No heart is irreplaceable to me.
